Automatic Changeover Switch
INTRODUCTION
These Changeover switches are used for Power supply of Railway signaling. In this system three individual power supplies is obtained from different generating sources.
And they are indicated as Main, AT1 & AT2. At a time, the Equipment requires only one supply, when the other two are kept in as standby application. In presence of all three sources, Equipment obtains Power from Mains. In case of failure of main supply, Changeover switch automatically gets turned and connects to AT1. In this situation, Equipment obtains Power from AT1. But whenever there is a failure of both Main & AT1, the Signaling Equipment gets Power from AT2, and when AT1 resumes, equipment gets power form AT1 itself. When both Main & AT1 resumes, the Signaling Equipment supply gets turned from Mains.
